So, why is he being admired now a days is because of a video posted by him showing the agony of a “a small gumti” owner Kanta Prasad and his wife Badaami Devi, who manage a dhaba well known as Baba ka dhaba. This video posted by Guarav broke into internet and social media showing the grave circumstances faced by the elderly couple for their survival. This video had both of them in tears narrating the kind of misery that a small dhaba vendor like them was facing because of COVID-19 effect.
The video soon engulfed the social media and internet generating a lot of sympathy and emotion for the elderly couple. In the viral video, an emotionally charged baba with tears in the eyes expressed helplessness to support their daily bread requirements because of the corona pandemic. As they were not able to generate proper revenue, due to lack of footfalls in their dhaba, it automatically forced them for austere measures, which were gradually increasing as there was no end to their plight. The 80 year old couple, who were serving since 1988 at the same place were facing these unforeseen circumstances, which had deeply affected their pockets and their home-cooked vegetarian meals business.

Well, this was not the only video that Gaurav had shared nor was he doing something irregular. He had been posting such videos for quite some time requesting his followers on social media and common masses to support and help such kind of small vendors in the corona times. Along with the post, the blogger also shares the price, menu, timings, and address details.
The post on Baba ka Dhaba had sensational effect on masses and by the very next day of this post i.e by Thursday morning; ‘Baba Ka Dhaba’ was one of the top trending hashtags on Twitter. The emotional story of the elderly couple, who were even shunned away by their children’s, forced the society to revaluate their value system and take a call to prove that we exists as a human. And this post become successful in reenergising the dormant connection, to extend help towards one human by another human and ultimately rebuilt the lives of elderly couple.
